FASHION ARTICLES

My passion for studying trends unfolded my interest as a fashion writer. I began to write articles for an online publishing site, focusing on fashion. My first article 'A romantic summer safari in the west' talks about the three main trends dominating the industry today. It is an article for for every girl to consider while going shopping! The next article I am working on is Audrey Hepburn's influence on fashion.

My article on Audrey's perfect lifestyle in London was also published on the same site. It talks about what she would wear and eat, where she would go to eat and spend her time in our favourite city london. The article tries to combine Audrey Hepburn's styles with the current fashion trends.

BLOGGING

The best way to remain in the fashion loop is through blogging. I have my fashion blog that focuses on the current season trends and styles. It aims at showing the styles that has come down from the runway to high street, and also the styles that are mainly inspired by fashion icons themselves.

THE BUSINESS PLAN

I developed a Business plan to advice Topshop on how to enter India. This report covers the market and financial analysis for the retailer to survive in India. It advices the brand of certain marketing strategies and brand development strategies specific to the Indian market and its consumers.
The report was developed after primary market research through questionnaires, focus groups and interviews.

The Label- MANVI

My passion for design led me to take a step ahead and create a brand MANVI. I targeted the niche Indian wedding market, and developed indian ethnic wear mainly to be worn on wedding occasions. From there I went on to develop edgy indian wear, that could be worn for all occasions, however with a new twist to Indian wear, with lycra, new pintex and other innovative styles not seen everyday.I had a succesfull exhibition on the 12th of April 2008. Since then, sky is the limit!

COMP-SHOP

Developed a competitive shopping report for a known high street retailer for its denim section, to advice on the Visual merchandising, pricing and the trends in denim on the high street.

TREND REPORT A/W 2010-11

My interest in trends lead me to carry out an extensive trend research by closely following the autumn-winter 2010/11 shows and develop my own trend report highlighting the trends, styles, colours and shapes, for the next season to assist the buying team of a high street retailer.
